
Guy Langevin, Practice Leader, Distribution and Logistics:
Guy Langevin is Practice Leader, Distribution and Logistics. He is based in Montreal, Canada and also leads Retail and High Tech consulting.
Mr. Langevin has successfully met the challenges of executive roles in operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, information systems and telecommunications. He has often been responsible for multinational activities in developed as well as third world countries. He has worked in many industries; retail, life insurance, steel, distribution, airlines, telecommunications, biotechnology and consulting.
As an executive consultant, he has helped customers review and adjust their manufacturing activities, create a project management culture, improve corporate communications and understand Supply chain management.
He has been vice-president for the Yellow Group, Future Electronics, Standard Life of Canada as well as Assistant General Manager for North America and the Caribbean for the Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques.
With the knowledge gained from his Master’s degree in Project Management, Mr. Langevin has helped many organizations put in place a proper project management discipline. One of his projects was awarded the “mention d’excellence” from the Fédération de l’Informatique du Québec in 1996.
As a contract executive, Mr. Langevin has worked on many mandates, some of which are:
- Review the manufacturing and operations to ensure that the organization will be able to meet its production targets;
- Explained Supply Chain management and how it fits into the strategy of a software supplier in the context of the establishment of a marketing plan;
- Setting up a project management office and coaching the director in charge as well as his executives,
- Creating an Operational Management Team;
- Providing project management and general communications skills training;
- Completing full operational diagnostics for a company; and
- Facilitating executive meetings.
He has served on several industry committees and has been a speaker at various conferences. He has served the community as a board member of Collège Durocher St-Lambert where he served in mandates as vice-president and treasurer.
